This position involves performing Private Provider inspections at residential & commercial properties throughout Central Florida.
Essential Function:
Perform inspections for compliance with Florida Building Code and local ordinances
Conduct field inspections of work in progress or completed projects under approved building permits for conformance with the Florida Building Code and other national and local codes or ordinances
Provide technical advice and consult with architects, engineers, general & specialty contractors and homeowners
Requirements / Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of building codes
Knowledge of various types of building construction materials and
methods and stages of construction in order to be able to determine when
violations and defects may most easily be observed and corrected
Ability to respond to various parties in a courteous and
professional manner, regardless of the circumstances
Ability to identify problems and communicate information to develop
and evaluate options and implement solutions that are in accordance with laws,
ordinances and established principles.
Qualifications:
Florida Standard License (building inspector)
